Companion Affinity[edit]

There are multiple affinity events that can happen during this mission.

Affinity Stage Andreja Barrett Sam Coe Sarah Morgan

⏫︎ Loves (+50 Affinity) Likes (+25 Affinity) Dislikes (-15 Affinity)⏬︎ Hates (-35 Affinity)

After a successful speech challenge, the player tells a shady character to hand over an important data slate. Normally, if the player failed this speech challenge, they'd have to do something illegal for it.[affinity 1]

The player agrees to do something shady and illegal for a man named Emilio in order to get a data slate from them. The player might not know for sure what they're supposed to do just yet, but they know it's shady.[affinity 2]

If the player wins the speech challenge, Emilio will offer the player more money to do something illegal for them, and he seems a bit desperate.[affinity 3]

Mission Stages[edit]

Out On a Limb (City_NA_Botany02 (0027071B))
Stage Finishes Mission Mission Entry
0(DEBUG)
1(Startup Stage)
10(Player has spoken to Kelton but not accepted mission)
I've once again met Kelton Frush, the botanist from MAST. He's struggling to gather more data on the phenomenon with the tree in New Atlantis, and has asked for my help.
20(player has accepted mission, pointed to Emilio)
I've agreed to help Kelton Frush by talking to his co-worker, Emilio, about getting some additional data on trees in New Atlantis.
30(Player has spoken to Emilio, but hasn't yet accepted the task)
38(Emilio Speech Challenge Win)
39(Emilio Speech Challenge Loss)
40(Player has accepted task from Emilio)
Emilio Hadek insists that before he'll hand over the data I need, I must delete his personnel file from the MAST network. I need to access the terminal in the Chief Engineer's apartment in New Atlantis.
50(Player has broken into apartment, pointed to terminal)
55(player has deleted kelton's files (doesn't advance quest, just deletes his files))
60(Player has updated files on terminal, pointed back to Emilio)
I've fulfilled my end of the bargain and deleted Emilio's personnel files. Now I just need to get the data from him.
100(Player has talked to Kulkarni, has option to turn over files)
110(Player turned over files to Kulkarni, has received data)
150(Player killed Emilio, pointed to data slate)
180(Data slate acquired, directed to Kelton)
I've acquired the data that Kelton Frush needs, and should deliver it to him.
Notes
  • Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the Radiant Mission system, and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all entries may appear in your log; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the mission is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with missions that have multiple possible outcomes or missions where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
  • If an entry is marked as "Finishes Mission" it means the mission disappears from the Active Mission list, but you may still receive new entries for that mission.
  • On the PC, it is possible to use the console to advance through the mission by entering setstage City_NA_Botany02 (0027071B) stage, where stage is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) mission stages, but it is possible to clear all stages of the mission using resetquest City_NA_Botany02 (0027071B).
