Detailed Walkthrough

Act I - Exposition

In the TerraBrew shop at New Atlantis spaceport Guillaume DeGarmo is sitting at a table heartbroken over a tragic loss. You would be forgiven for thinking he is mourning the passing of a close friend or a family member, unfortunately the matter is way more serious. Guillaume lost a a priceless gem, one of the most priced items of his collection. And he lost it in a bet none the less, a bet he made with George Saint-George, a fellow collector of old-earth trinkets. Guillaume would like his gem back, and needs you to see George Saint-George and trade it for an Old-Earth Plate Guillaume has in his posession and knows that George covets. Unfortunately he can't do the exchange personally for several good reasond: Guillaume can't stand the sight of George, and also George may not be willing to make the trade if it meant to deal with Guillaume in person.
You of course offer to help!

Act II - Peripetie

Take the NAT to New Atlantis commercial district, hurry to TerraBrew and talk to George Saint-George. He usually sits outside. George is delighted to make the exchange as he does not care much for the gem. He is more into tableware anyway. He also has the effrontery to call Guillaume a bit overdramatic which couldn't be further from the truth. So you take the gem and haste back to Guillaume at spaceport TerraBrew.

Act III - Dénouement

Guillaume is overjoyed to have his gem back, and vows to never take it for granted again.
You have done a good deed.

Notes

• Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the Radiant Mission system, and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
• Not all entries may appear in your log; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the mission is done.
• Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with missions that have multiple possible outcomes or missions where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
• If an entry is marked as "Finishes Mission" it means the mission disappears from the Active Mission list, but you may still receive new entries for that mission.
• On the PC, it is possible to use the console to advance through the mission by entering setstage City_NewAtlantis_Z_GemJealousy stage, where stage is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) mission stages, but it is possible to clear all stages of the mission using resetquest City_NewAtlantis_Z_GemJealousy.
