You can ask him about his lack of selection:

"Nope. No question, business has been slow lately. Not too worried, though. Managed to make ends meet for a good long while, don't expect that to change now."

I'm surprised to find an electronics shop in the Well.

"That so? Think folks down here are too poor to afford electronics? Not the first time I've heard that line. Yeah, I get that kind of attitude far too often. You find yourself with any more commentary, feel free to keep it to yourself."

Which gives you two options to respond:

Sorry, didn't mean anything by it.

"Ehh, it's fine. Just maybe give things an extra thought before you let 'em roll right out of your mouth..."

or

I was just making conversation.

"Well then maybe we should just stick to business, huh?"

Or if you already know what this business really is, you can instead say:

Nice try. I know what this place is.

"That so? Well, then I'm hardly the man you want to be talking with..."
