Starfield:Factions
Starfield is full of diverse and varied factions. Some of these factions can be joined in-game, while others exist to enrich the lore and setting. Almost every NPC and fauna belongs to one or more factions. These faction memberships control various things, such as the combat reaction of all NPCs and creatures, both towards you and towards one another.
Factions functions as a catch-all terms for all includes political factions, sovereign nations, administrative entities, private companies, bandit groups, etc. An organization does not need to be joinable to be considered a faction.

- Crimson Fleet: a loose confederation of individual pirate captains under the same Jolly Roger banner within the Settled Systems.
- Disciples: a street gang from Neon who are considered cruel and dangerous even by those standards.
- Ebbside Strikers: a well-established street gang from Neon.
- Ecliptic: a mercenary group that operates within the Settled Systems.
- Seokguh Syndicate: an organized crime syndicate headquartered in Neon, dealing in extortion and smuggling.
- Shaw Gang: a bandit gang that operates on Akila.
- Spacers: independent scavengers, pirates, and raiders found across the Settled Systems.
- The First: an outlaw mercenary group operating in Freestar Collective space.
- Va'ruun Zealots: Fanatical and Hostile remnants of House Va'ruun that stayed behind in the settled systems as the rest of House Va'ruun left.
Exploration[edit]
- Constellation: a group of space explorers based out of New Atlantis.
- LIST: an organization that helps colonists who decide to settle in independent space.
- NASA (Defunct): the space exploration organization that invented the Grav Drive.

- Chunks: a fast food restaurant chain that specializes in flavored edible cubes called "chunks".

- GalBank: the leading bank in the Settled Systems. GalBank's full name is the Galactic Banking Consortium.
- Generdyne Industries: corporation based in Neon.
- Laredo: a weapons manufacturer located in Freestar Collective space.
- Paradiso Group: the company that operates the luxury resort Paradiso on Porrima II.
- Reliant Medical: a medical services company with branches located throughout the Settled Systems.
