Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

Upon your arrival at Oborum III you will discover both the Hunter's ship, the Scorpius, and the ship that attacked you at Volii Alpha, the Helix. The Scorpius will hail you, and invite you on board the Scorpius for negotiations.

Aboard the Scorpius, you will encounter the Hunter and the captain of the Helix, the Emissary. They will reveal the true purpose of the Artifacts: they lead to the Unity, a gateway that in turn leads to an infinite number of parallel universes. The Starborn are humans who have passed through the Unity. By repeatedly gathering artifacts and traversing from one universe to the next, they grow increasingly stronger.

The Emissary will drop the visor on their helmet to reveal that they are an alternative version of whichever member of Constellation died during the events of High Price to Pay. The Hunter's attack on the Eye is a recurring event in almost every universe, and almost always, the player character is the one to die, while whoever is closest to them goes on to become an Emissary. This is the first time the player character has survived the attack. The Hunter will then reveal that he is an alternate version of Keeper Aquilus, and explains that he allowed you to escape because he found your survival in this universe interesting.

Both the Emissary and the Hunter will lay out their ideology concerning the Unity. The Hunter believes that the Unity should be open to whoever gets to it first, by any means necessary, while the Emissary believes that the Unity should be protected from those who might seek to use it do harm. You will not be required to commit to either position. Once the council is over, the Emissary will direct you to investigate Earth's moon, in order to witness a warning of the dangers of meddling with the Artifacts. They will also provide you with a number of resources.

You may now ask both the Hunter and the Emissary more about their positions. Once you are satisfied, return to your ship.

Notes
  • Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the Radiant Mission system, and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all entries may appear in your log; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the mission is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with missions that have multiple possible outcomes or missions where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
  • If an entry is marked as "Finishes Mission" it means the mission disappears from the Active Mission list, but you may still receive new entries for that mission.
  • On the PC, it is possible to use the console to advance through the mission by entering setstage MQ207 stage, where stage is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) mission stages, but it is possible to clear all stages of the mission using resetquest MQ207.
