  2. Ask about Walker at the Sixth Circle.
  3. Pay off Walker's debt to the Trade Authority
    1. (Optional) Hack the Trade Authority's computer to reduce Walker's debt.
    2. (Optional) Finish Walker's research in the Abandoned Mines and sell it to the Trade Authority.
  4. Find Walker at the Red Devils HQ.
  5. Meet Hadrian Sanon at the Sixth Circle.

Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

Hadrian Sanon has tasked you with getting the Terrmorph sample you recovered analyzed by the best xenobiologist she knows, Dr. Percival Walker, and Commander Tuala has approved the mission. The last Hadrian heard of Walker, he was working with the Trade Authority in Cydonia on Mars, so that's where you'll need to start. Go to Cydonia and visit the Trade Authority - you will need to speak to the manager, Oktai Enbayar, in the back room. Enbayar explains that Walker disappeared after racking up a considerable debt to the Trade Authority due to "discipline issues". He isn't particularly interested in finding Walker, but believes that a group of miners who gather at the Sixth Circle are hiding him.

Upon entering the Sixth Circle, you will be accosted by one of the patrons, Andrew Robillard. As it turns out, the Sixth Circle is a bar reserved almost exclusively for veterans of an old United Colonies military unit, the Red Devils. Either show them Hadrian's genetag, or prove to them that you're with the Vanguard, and they'll be more open to talking to you. The bartender, Lou Saavedra, says that Walker has gone into hiding to avoid having to pay his debt, but that if the debt were settled, he'd be willing to direct you to him. He suggests hacking the Trade Authority's computers to reduce Walker's debt to something more manageable. As you leave, another patron, Cambridge Cooper, approaches you with another possible option - he worked with Walker on finding new pharmaceutical uses for Aqueous Hematite, and believes that the results of that research would be more than enough to settle Walker's debt to the Trade Authority. The only difficult is that the lab is in Mars's Deep Mines, which are overrun with Spacers.

Settling Walker's Debt[edit]

At this point, you have three options with which to proceed.

First, you can simply talk to Enbayar and pay Walker's debt in full. The debt is a hefty Credit.png21,867.

Second, you can follow Lou's plan and hack the Trade Authority's computers to reduce the debt. The computers are in an office on the second floor of the Trade Authority, which can be accessed from two doors. The door at the top of the stairs has a Master-level lock, while the other door can be accessed from behind the bar at the Broken Spear, and only has an Expert-level lock. You can set the debt to Credit.png10,000, Credit.png5,000, Credit.png2,000, Credit.png1,000, Credit.png500, Credit.png50 or Credit.png1. After you have done this you can return to Lou who will reimburse you with Credit.png500, then you go to Oktai Enbayar to pay the updated depth.

Finally, you can take up Cambridge's offer and head for the Deep Mines. The Mines are extensive and infested with Spacers - you'll need to kill their leader, then contact Cambridge from the lab's intercom. Cambridge will walk you through the process of finishing the research, then direct you to an elevator an corresponding key that will take you up to a back entrance from the mines. Once you have the finished research in hand, return to Cambridge who will give you the formula for Pick-Me-Up, then take it to Enbayar. You can sell the research in exchange for settling Walker's debt, or alternatively sell it for credits, and use one of the other two methods to settle the debt.

You can also combine the methods, for example you can clear out the mines, finish the formula, deliver it to Cambridge, then hack the account and finally pay to Oktai whatever you set the account to.

Whichever method you choose, Lou will now be willing to tell you where Walker is - he's hiding out in the old Red Devils HQ. It's no longer accessible from the main entrance, but there is a back entrance through the Deep Mines, for which Lou gives you the key.

Meeting Walker[edit]

Head for the Deep Mines. If you assisted Cambridge, the mines will already be clear, and you can take the employee elevator as a shortcut. Otherwise, you will need to fight your way through the Spacers. The key opens the way into a series of massive caverns, which you will need to navigate. Eventually, you will find the HQ, where Walker will greet you at the back entrance.

Deliver the Terrormorph sample, and Walker will take it to a lab station for analysis. He is shocked to discover that the Tau Ceti Terrormorph is not only genetically identical to the Terrormorphs that attacked Londinion, but that it shows no signs of having been transported. It simply appeared in a time and place that should have been impossible. Concerned about the possibility of another Londinion-scale Terrormorph attack, Walker agrees to meet Hadrian with you. Leave the HQ by the main entrance and return to the Sixth Circle.

Hadrian will lead you and Walker into a back room. Talk to her, and she will reveal that the two of them were both high-ranking UC Xenowarfare experts during the Colony War. During the war, they performed research on potentially weaponizing Terrormorphs, but the project was scrapped. They need the data from the project to get a better understanding of what the Tau Ceti sample means, but Xenowarfare was banned after the war, and the data is securely under lock and key in the Armistice Archives in New Atlantis. To get it, they will need approval not just from the UC Cabinet, but also from the Freestar Collective and House Va'ruun. Hadrian explains that she was able to pull some strings to arrange a meeting with the Cabinet, and asks you to meet her at the MAST Tower.

Companion Affinity[edit]

  • Sarah Morgan likes it if you tell Oktai Enbayar that you are not the Trade Authority's bill collector.
  • Sarah Morgan likes it if you tell Cambridge Cooper that you are trying to help Percival Walker.

I've collected Percival and Cambridge's research. I should phone up to Cambridge to see what he wants me to do with it.
843(P3: Player spoke to Cambridge. Cambridge directed the player to collect a key to leave the space.)
Cambridge has informed me there's a faster way out of the mines - the elevator in this room. He says there should be a key stashed away in the Thresher room.
844(P-Late: Player picked up the Employee Elevator key card. Mark it for them on their map. Set from a script on the player's alias)
845(PASS2: Player's got the key to leave this place. Send 'em back to Cambridge.)
Time to return this research to Cambridge back at "The Sixth Circle."
850(PASS2: Player spoke to Cambridge after collecting the slate. He's directed the player to hand it over to Oktai.)

I did it! I've cleared Percival's debt. Now I should be able to get his location from Lou at "The Sixth Circle."
891(P3: Player activated drill exit. Inform them the power needs to be restored.)
Something seems to be draining juice out of this door's junction box. I'll need to clear that before I can proceed.
895(P3: Player cleared the Heatleeches from the power junction in the drill exit (set from an alias script). Play the scene and direct them on through.)
I've dealt with the Heatleeches that were draining the power to the drill's exit. Time to find Percival.

Notes
  • Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the Radiant Mission system, and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all entries may appear in your log; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the mission is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with missions that have multiple possible outcomes or missions where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
  • If an entry is marked as "Finishes Mission" it means the mission disappears from the Active Mission list, but you may still receive new entries for that mission.
  • On the PC, it is possible to use the console to advance through the mission by entering setstage UC03 stage, where stage is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) mission stages, but it is possible to clear all stages of the mission using resetquest UC03.
