Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

Meeting the Cabinet[edit]

Hadrian will be waiting for you at the foot of the steps outside the MAST Tower in New Atlantis. While the two of you wait to be summoned by the Cabinet, she will disclose that she is, in fact, a clone of Admiral Francoise Sanon, also known as "Vae Victis" - a man who was once renowned as the UC's greatest military mind until he was executed for war crimes after the Colony War. You can ask Hadrian some more questions, including about what you should say to the Cabinet. Once you're done asking questions, a UC Security guard will arrive and tell you that the Cabinet is ready for you. Head inside the Tower, and take the elevator up to the Cabinet Chambers, then stand on the dais next to Hadrian.

The Cabinet consists of President Alexandra Abello, Security Chief Jeremiah Sarkin, Chief Engineer Upsana Kulkarni, Chief Diplomat Soliman Yasin, and Admiral Pascual Logan. Of the five, Yasin is the most skeptical of Hadrian's report and the least inclined to give you access to the Terrormorph research data. Abello will ask you two questions - your answers to these will determine how willing Yasin is to give you access to the Archives. Regardless of what you choose, however, before the Cabinet can make its final decision, you will hear a distant explosion, an alert will sound, and the tower will be locked down. You will soon be informed that a Terrormorph attack has occurred at the spaceport.

Attack on New Atlantis[edit]

While Admiral Logan calls in an off-world anti-xeno team, Abello orders you and Hadrian to reinforce UC Security at the Spaceport. Head immediately to the NAT Station, where you will find UC Security guards fighting civilians. On the floor, you will find a discarded Equinox, modified to deal EM damage. Grab it and use it to neutralize the attacking civilians non-lethally. Afterwards, talk to Hadrian, who will explain that this is an ability possessed by some Terrormorphs - the use of "pheremonic projection" to essentially mind control humans. It can only be ended by killing the Terrormorph responsible.

Take the NAT to the Spaceport, which is in full lock down. You will find UC Security and a team of marines fighting a Terrormorph near the entrance to the spaceport proper. Kill the Terrormorph and talk to Sergeant Yumi, who will inform you that there are more Terrormorphs nearby. He can't afford to risk exposing any more of his men to the pheremonic projection, but there is also a fireteam of UC Marines available. You have the option of bringing the marines with you, or of leaving them behind if you think that they will be a liability.

There are two more Terrormorphs in the spaceport. Kill them, then return to Yumi. After that, return to the Cabinet Chambers and talk to President Abello. In the wake of the Terrormorph attack on New Atlantis, the Cabinet now takes Hadrian's warning very seriously - you will have the Cabinet's full approval to unseal the Archives, and Hadrian will be reinstated in the Marines. Abella orders you to convince the Freestar Collective and House Va'ruun to agree to unseal the Archives, promising fast-tracked citizenship as a reward.

Companion Affinity[edit]

  • Sarah Morgan likes it if you tell Hadrian that she is not her father.
  • Sarah Morgan dislikes it if you argue to the cabinet that you should be granted access to the requested data because the terrormorph program was a failue.
  • Sarah Morgan likes it when you killed the terrormorphs at the spaceport.

Companion Affinity[edit]

There are multiple affinity events that can happen during this mission.

Hadrian told the player about her father - Vae Victis, who was executed for war crimes after the end of the Colony War - and told the player that one of the reasons she wants the player present as they speak to the heads of the UC is so that those leaders aren't just thinking about her father the whole time. • Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the Radiant Mission system, and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all entries may appear in your log; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the mission is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with missions that have multiple possible outcomes or missions where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
  • If an entry is marked as "Finishes Mission" it means the mission disappears from the Active Mission list, but you may still receive new entries for that mission.
  • On the PC, it is possible to use the console to advance through the mission by entering setstage UC04 stage, where stage is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) mission stages, but it is possible to clear all stages of the mission using resetquest UC04.
