Official Summary[edit]

"In this, the first quest of the Freestar Collective faction quest line, the player has arrived in Akila City for the first time and is stopped at the gate by a guard who warns of a hostage situation playing out at the local branch of GalBank. The player volunteers to help and meets Marshal Daniel Blake, head of the renowned Freestar Rangers. Working with Marshal Blake, the player can either try to persuade the bank robbers to surrender or infiltrate the bank and take them out with lethal force. Marshal Blake is impressed and offers the player the opportunity to join the Freestar Rangers, which leads into the next quest in the chain."

  5. Talk to the robbers or enter the bank
  6. Kill the robbers
  7. Talk to Daniel

There are multiple affinity events that can happen during this mission.

The player used Diplomacy perk to offer to end a hostage situation with diplomacy[affinity 1]

Confronted with a hostage situation the player said "The time for negotiation is over. You know what needs to be done." This implies the player is willing to use violence and kill the hostage-takers.[affinity 2]

-

The player used the soldier perk and promised to clear out the enemies before they know what hit them. This is very risky because the enemies have hostages.[affinity 3]

Confronted with a kidnapping situation, the player just said "If people are in trouble, I want to help."[affinity 5]

Notes
  • Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the Radiant Mission system, and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all entries may appear in your log; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the mission is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with missions that have multiple possible outcomes or missions where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
  • If an entry is marked as "Finishes Mission" it means the mission disappears from the Active Mission list, but you may still receive new entries for that mission.
  • On the PC, it is possible to use the console to advance through the mission by entering setstage FC01 stage, where stage is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) mission stages, but it is possible to clear all stages of the mission using resetquest FC01.
