Official Summary[edit]
"As a newly-recruited Deputy in the respected Freestar Rangers, the player is carrying out an investigation into a mercenary company called The First that's been threatening farmers in an effort to seize their land for some unknown purpose. The player has learned the identity of a highly-placed member of the First named Marco Graziani, who is known to come from a family of wealthy criminal smugglers and might be bankrolling the First. \n\nMarshal Blake, leader of the Freestar Rangers, sends the playerto the infamous gambling den known as Red Mile, where patrons bet on a deadly game of survival. There, Ranger Autumn MacMillan has been trying to crack a smuggling ring and might be able to help the player track down Marco. After the player is forced to run the deadly red mile, the lethal gauntlet that gives the cantina its name, the establishment's owner sets up a meeting with Marco and the player confronts the mercenary smuggler, ultimately obtaining an encrypted slate that can help to expose the First's plans."

- Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g.,
<Alias=LocationHold>
) is dynamically set by the Radiant Mission system, and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game. - Not all entries may appear in your log; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the mission is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with missions that have multiple possible outcomes or missions where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
- If an entry is marked as "Finishes Mission" it means the mission disappears from the Active Mission list, but you may still receive new entries for that mission.
- On the PC, it is possible to use the console to advance through the mission by entering
setstage FC05 stage
, wherestage
is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) mission stages, but it is possible to clear all stages of the mission usingresetquest FC05
