Adler at his desk in the Broken Spear

Quick Walkthrough[edit]

  1. Speak to Comander Kibwe Ikande on the UC Vigilance.
  2. Speak to Saoirse Bowden at the Trade Authority in Cydonia.
  3. Speak to Adler Kemp at The Broken Spear in Cydonia.
  4. Speak to Karl Fielding. Either threaten him or persuade him to give up the money, give him the money to give to Adler, or kill him.
  5. Return to Karl

Walkthrough[edit]

Starting[edit]

There are multiple ways this quest can be started:

  • After progressing through the UC Vanguard quest chain, you will get a quest to speak to Comander Kibwe Ikande on the UC Vigilance.
  • After being arrested for the first time, you will find yourself in an interrogation room with Comander Kibwe Ikande on the UC Vigilance.
  • If you kill everyone onboard the UC Vigilance, Sebastian Lynne will randomly show up and give you a data slate.

In any event, the rest of the quest proceeds relatively the same.

Buy Into The Crimson Fleet[edit]

If you did not kill everyone onboard the UC Vigilance, your first stop is to take Aurora Sample to Saoirse Bowden at the Trade Authority in Cydonia. With little prompting, she will direct you to Adler Kemp at The Broken Spear.

Adler Kemp will direct you to shake down the miner Karl Fielding. He owes the Crimson Fleet some money, and must be made an example of. Adler will not take money from you for his debt, he will instead demand the money come from Karl. After finding Karl near the miner's quarters, he explains that he does not have the money to give to Adler. You can proceed in one of a few ways:

  • Give him Credit.png3000 to pay to Adler.
  • Convince him to give Adler the Credit.png3000 (which he apparently has on hand).
  • Kill him.

Once done, return to Adler with the news.

  1. The Player is speaking to a Trade Authority representative in Cydonia. They're trying to sell an Aurora shipment (that was given to them by UC SysDef as a "buy in") to get into the Crimson Fleet. Player is using all the leverage they can to convince her to point them the right way. In this case, the Player was clever and talked her into it using Industrialist skill. Very clever.

They're trying to sell an Aurora shipment (that was given to them by UC SysDef as a "buy in") to get into the Crimson Fleet. 3. The Player is speaking to a Trade Authority representative in Cydonia. They're trying to sell an Aurora shipment (that was given to them by UC SysDef as a "buy in") to get into the Crimson Fleet. Player is using all the leverage they can to convince her to point them the right way. In this case, the Player threatens her with violence.
  4. The Player is dealing with Adler Kemp, the person that can get them into the Fleet. He said he'll help, but in typical CF fashion, he wants a favor first (taking advantage). This is the only way Player can get into the CF. The favor is to get an owed debt from a drunk. The Player agrees to help in different ways. In this version, the Player mentions his Bouncer past and how he can deal with drunks.

Notes
  • Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the Radiant Mission system, and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all entries may appear in your log; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the mission is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with missions that have multiple possible outcomes or missions where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
  • If an entry is marked as "Finishes Mission" it means the mission disappears from the Active Mission list, but you may still receive new entries for that mission.
  • On the PC, it is possible to use the console to advance through the mission by entering setstage CF01 stage, where stage is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) mission stages, but it is possible to clear all stages of the mission using resetquest CF01.
