Quick Walkthrough[edit]

  1. Travel to GalBank Legacy.
  2. Find the first Transfer Module on Osterholt's body.
  3. Go through the ship, fighting the robots, until you enter the Vault Control Room.
    1. Pick up the second Transfer Module on Kryx's body.
    2. Pick up Kryx's dataslate and listen to it.
  4. Reroute the power, insert the Data Core, and pull the lever. Once pulled, you will not be able to enter The Key or UC Vigilance without picking sides and starting the next mission. Wrap up anything you have onboard either before pulling the lever.
  5. Escape the ship before it's torn up with you inside.
  6. Head to either The Key (to side with Crimson Fleet and start Legacy's End (Fleet)) or UC Vigilance (to side with UC SysDef and start Legacy's End (Sys Def)).

Companion Affinity[edit]

There are multiple affinity events that can happen during this mission.

  1. This is where the Player has decided to deliver Kryx's Legacy - in this case, to UC SysDef (the "good guys"). That means they are committing to kill the Crimson Fleet. There will be a full scene discussion on this later, but this is in the moment.
  2. This is where the Player has decided to deliver Kryx's Legacy - in this case, to Crimson Fleet (the "bad guys"). That means they'll be committing to "kill" UC SysDef. There will be a full scene discussion on this later, but this is in the moment.
  3. Ikande thanked the player from bringing back the Legacy. The player stated they just want to do the right thing.

Notable Loot[edit]

  • GBLR013: Mortem Obire: Next to Kryx's body in the Vault Control Room of the GalBank Legacy. If you plan to side with the fleet, you can leave the Legacy after picking up this evidence but before transferring the GalBank credits to turn in the evidence. You will not able to turn it in otherwise once the credits are transferred while siding with the fleet. Part of the mission SF-qico-Crimson Fleet.svgBurden of Proof.

Bugs[edit]

  • Kryx's Final Slate leaves inventory ¾ of every playthough[clarification needed — see talk page] ?

Mission Stages[edit]

Eye of the Storm (CF07)
Stage Finishes Mission Mission Entry
0(=DEBUG START=)
1(=DEBUG START - NO SHIP=)
2(=DEBUG START - NO SHIP - VIGILANCE=)
10(Speak to Delgado)
After bringing the Conduction Grid data back to the Key, Naeva Mora has informed me that the Crimson Fleet is on high alert and Delgado wants to see me right away.
12(Startup Scene Triggered)
15(Jasmine takes Conduction Grid Tech)
18(SysDef Shutdown)
20(Install both Modules on ship)
I've been informed that UC SysDef is massing for an attack on the Key. In order to obtain the money to secure enough reinforcements to hold SysDef off, I'm to continue to Bannoc IV and retrieve Kryx's Legacy.
40(Both Modules Installed - Quest Proceeds)
I now have the proper modules installed on my ship to penetrate the EM field surrounding Bannoc IV. I should proceed to Bannoc IV immediately.
100(=UC SYSDEF SEGMENT=)
110(Proceed to the UC Vigilance)
120(Speak to Commander Kibwe)
I've arrived at the Vigilance. I should speak to Commander Ikande immediately.
125(Startup Scene Vigilance Triggered)
150(Violence - Strike Two)
160(Violence - Strike Two + Combat)
200(=LEGACY SEGMENT - DEBUG=)
201(=LEGECY SEGMENT - GO TO KRYX DEBUG=)
210(Proceed to Bannoc IV)
I should now proceed to Bannoc IV, the location of the GalBank Transport "Legacy."
220(Board the Galbank Transport "Legacy")
I've arrived at Bannoc IV and the ComSpike has locked onto the GalBank Transport "Legacy." I should dock and board the derelict ship and begin the hunt for Kryx's Legacy.
230(Locate the Vault Control Center)
I've boarded the GalBank Transport "Legacy." My ultimate goal is to reach the Vault Control Center, from which I should be able to access all of the ship's currency.
240(Open the Vault Door)
In order to access the Legacy's Vault, I'll need to obtain a Transfer Module. A member of the crew was likely carrying one of these devices.
250(Open the Vault Door)
I should now access the door to the Legacy's Vault by opening the Vault Door.
255(Vault Door Opened)
I now have access to the Legacy's Vault.
260((Optional) Access the CredTank)
265(CredTank accessed)
266(Enter Engineering Section)
270(Search Jasper Kryx's Remains)
After arriving at the Legacy's Vault Control Center, I've encountered the remains of who I believe to be the great Jasper Kryx. I should investigate the corpse and recover any information that I can.
275(Picked Up: Transfer Module 02)
276(Picked Up: Kryx's Final Slate)
280(Listen to Kryx's Final Log)
I've discovered an old personal recording on Jasper Kryx's remains. I should listen to it and learn more about why he appears to have been trapped on the Legacy forever.
290(Reroute Ship's Power)
After listening to Kryx's final log, I've learned that I'll need to reroute the jury-rigged power from the Legacy's shields to the Vault in order to gain access to the ship's currency, which will make the transport vulnerable to Bannoc IV's EM Field.
300(Access the Legacy's Credit Reserves)
Now that the power has been rerouted, I can access and transfer the Legacy's credit reserves.
360(Download the Legacy's Credit Reserves)
370(Wait for the Transfer Process to Complete)
Transferring the credits from the Legacy to my Data Core won't be instantaneous. I'll need to wait a bit as the massive amounts of data is shunted out of the system.
380(Remove Transfer Modules and Data Core)
I've successfully downloaded the currency from the Legacy's Vault onto my Data Core. Kryx's Legacy is mine.
390(Legacy State Swap - Initial)
395(Legacy State Swap - At Black)
397(Legacy State Swap - Post Black)
400(Escape from the Legacy)
With the power diverted away from the Legacy's shielding, it's being battered by Bannoc IV's EM field. The damage is taking its toll on the transport, and I should return to the safety of my own ship as soon as possible.
499(Display CF08 Warning Message)
500(Player Undocking Completed)
I've safely detached from the Legacy just as the old transport was torn apart. I should now jump back to the Key and help the Crimson Fleet fend off the impending UC SysDef attack.
550((Optional) Asking Companions opinion about choice)
555(Optional Companion ask is completed)
1000(Quest Complete - Player Chose UC SysDef)
I've chosen to bring Kryx's Legacy to UC SysDef, and help them end the Crimson Fleet's threat to the Settled Systems.
Notes
  • Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the Radiant Mission system, and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all entries may appear in your log; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the mission is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with missions that have multiple possible outcomes or missions where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
  • If an entry is marked as "Finishes Mission" it means the mission disappears from the Active Mission list, but you may still receive new entries for that mission.
  • On the PC, it is possible to use the console to advance through the mission by entering setstage CF07 stage, where stage is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) mission stages, but it is possible to clear all stages of the mission using resetquest CF07.
