Quick Walkthrough[edit]
- Meet with Naeva's contact Huan Daiyu at Kay's House in The Well.
- Enter the Jade Swan and take it to SY-920.
- Sneak through the vents to the barracks or convince the guard to let you through.
- Find and put on a uniform.
- Make your way through the facility to Dr. Gabriel Vogel.
- Steal the prototype ship.
- Return to The Key.
- Check in on the Vigilance.
Walkthrough[edit]
Meet With The Smuggler[edit]
Naeva points you to a smuggler who can get you onboard SY-920, Huan Daiyu. Make your way to The Well and meet her on the upper balcony of Kay's House. Talk to her, telling her as much information that you'd like, and she tells you to meet her at the Jade Swan on the launch pad at New Atlantis Spaceport.
Enter her ship, talk to her a bit, and work your way through the dialogs until you find yourself at SY-920. From here, you will need to pass a number of checkpoints to get to the ComSpike. Huan will reach out to you on intercoms to guide you through the base.
As an alternative, you can go in guns blazing and kill your way to the ComSpike.
The Cargo Bay[edit]
For the disguises to work, you will need to remove your spacesuit. Hiding the spacesuit does not work, you must remove it entirely.
The first step is to get out of the cargo bay. You can freely walk about this area, however trying to enter the station of large will get you stopped by an officer. There are a few ways to get through.
- Talk to the guard on the lower level and pass a persuasion test to convince him to let you pass.
- In the far right corner, there is a locekd door which leads to a maintenance area. Be aware that if you are caught entering this room, you will be attacked. Either Digipick the door, or talk to Elijah Schilling who apparently lost his keycard to that room. He points you to a forklift in the middle of the main room. Talk to the guard guarding it and he will head to talk to Elijah, allowing you to take the keycard. Once in the room, use the vents to access the storage room.
Reguardless of how you get there, the next step is to steal a soldier's uniform to get you into the station proper. Explore the area you've entered to find a uniform. If you've convince the guard to let you through, you can walk around with impunity, but if you snuck in you'll need to sneak past any guards. You can find both Ensign Akasaka's Uniform and Ensign Ziremi's Uniform in the bunks in this area. In addition, there is a third uniform (Ensign Ngata's Uniform) near the security checkpoint that you can sneak and steal. All work the same, and once equipped you can freely explore the floor. Remember which you took, as it's required for the next space. Head to the cargo lifts and head downstairs.
Command Bay[edit]
Be aware that, starting at this level, you can be randomly stopped and be forced to pass a persuasion test otherwise you will be attacked. Because of this, it is best to avoid guards.
To proceed through here, you will either need an authorization code to get through the next checkpoint, or sneak past it. To get the code, break into the security office, located near the checkpoint, and use the Clearance Code Computer to get the daily code for the uniform that you stole:
- Akaska: AK127C
- Ngata: NG983P
- Ziremi: ZX321D
Proceed through the checkpoint using this code to enter the command room.
To sneak past, head to the nearby utility room and enter the cent which leads above the command bay. Head across the thin line of pipes over the command bay and drop down behind them to successfully sneak into the command room.
Once in the command room, you'll need to get to the data room. The door to this is located at the front of the room in the left, once in you will need to sneak past the guards to access Data Access Computer in the far corner. Enter the ComSpike menu and upgrade your security clearance. Head back the way you came (using the convenient door nearby) and use the elevators to go down to the engineering bay.
Engineering Bay[edit]
If you have the skills, Digipick the expert door on Lab 2 and pick up a SY-920 Scientist Outfit which will allow you to blend in without anyone bothering you. This is not a requirement, and using your ensign uniform will just cause the guards to ask you more questions.
Head to Lab 4 to encounter Dr. Gabriel Vogel. If you can, pass a persuasion test, to convince him that you area a test pilot, and he gives you a keycard and code to access the Prototype Ship which houses the ComSpike. Put on the SY-920 Pilot Spacesuit. From there, you can get onboard the ship, undock, and warp away.
If you can not persuade him, you can choose to snitch on Huan and tell Vogel that she is here to steal the ComSpike (which is mostly the truth). This will trigger all the guards to head to the cargo bay, and Vogel gives you accress to the ship so that you can keep it safe. At this point you can board the ship and warp away without incident.
Finally, you can choose to steal the ship in more conventional ways. Pickpocket the keycard from Vogel, then head to the locker room (behind Vogel's lab) and use the vents to enter the main engineering bay. Enter Docking Bay 8 and command the ship. Once you undock, you will immediately be attacked, so divert all power to the grav drive and leave the station as soon as possible.
Warp to The Key with your prize.
Wrapping It Up[edit]
On The Key, talk to Delgado and Naeva about what went down. Naeva will tell you the next step is to steal Conduction Grid.
If you area still on good terms with UC SysDef, brief them on the status onboard the UC Vigilance.

- The following empty mission stages were omitted from the table: 67, 75, 498.
- Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g.,
<Alias=LocationHold>
) is dynamically set by the Radiant Mission system, and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game. - Not all entries may appear in your log; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the mission is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with missions that have multiple possible outcomes or missions where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
- If an entry is marked as "Finishes Mission" it means the mission disappears from the Active Mission list, but you may still receive new entries for that mission.
- On the PC, it is possible to use the console to advance through the mission by entering
setstage CF05 stage
, wherestage
is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) mission stages, but it is possible to clear all stages of the mission usingresetquest CF05
