Elias Cartwright is the mayor of Akila City.
Background[edit]
He is a member of the prestigious Cartwright family, the husband of Mary Cartwright, and the father of Emily Cartwright.
Cartwright is a popular mayor, but is criticized for painting too rosy a picture of Akila City, overlooking the squalor and poverty of the Stretch. He is a member of one of the prestigious founding families of the Core, and is appalled by the idea of a nouveau rich businessman from Neon owning property there.
He sits on the Freestar Collective's Council of Governors.
