Major Paxton Hull is a former member of the Freestar Militia, a veteran of the Colony War, and the leader of the First.

Hull is armed with a Bridger and wears a First Mercenary Outfit and Paxton's Officer Hat.
Background[edit]
During the Colony War, Hull commanded an elite Mech division, the First Cavalry. Considered to be one of the Militia's best units, the First were deployed to the heaviest fighting at the Battle of Niira. They suffered devastating losses, but were on the verge of taking their objective when word came down that the United Colonies and Freestar Collective had signed a ceasefire, and the war over.
Hull refused to let the deaths of his troops be for nothing. He defied orders and continued the attack, taking the objective in defiance of the ceasefire. Afterwards, he was court martialed and stripped of his rank, while the First Cavalry was dissolved. Betrayed by the country they had sacrificed everything to serve, Hull and the remaining veterans of the First Cavalry formed a mercenary group, known simply as "the First".
