A Mech is a human-piloted military vehicle propelled by legs rather than wheels or treads. Mechs were used extensively by both the United Colonies and Freestar Collective [Starfield] during the Colony War, but were associated more with the latter. After the war, mechs were banned under the terms of the Armistice.
