Andreja, born in Dazra on Va'ruun'kai, was raised with teachings from Jinan Va'ruun and trained in combat tactics from youth. Upon reaching maturity, she partook in the Rite of Kre’jar, and sacrificed her pet Groat to fashion a dagger. Assigned by House Va'ruun before 2321 to leave her planet, she worked with Tomisar Ka’dic for communication with the High Council. Smuggling for her family, she organized transport operations for essential supplies through the Settled Systems. Despite initial beliefs, she developed friendships with smugglers like Eren Bascolm and Jaeda Huang. While on a mission in 2321, Zealots attacked. In 2328, tasked with infiltrating Constellation, Andreja adopted a new identity as a former smuggler. Despite being caught accessing secure records, Sarah allowed Andreja to stay, keeping her allegiance to House Va'ruun confidential.

Early Life[edit]

Andreja was born in the city of Dazra on the planet Va’ruun’kai. She was brought up with the teachings of Jinan Va'ruun and received training in basic combat tactics from an early age. Like all children in House Va’ruun, she was given a pet Groat. Upon reaching maturity, she participated in the Rite of Kre’jar and she sacrificed her pet Groat and crafted its skull into a dagger, which she was commanded to carry with her at all times.

Leaving Va’ruun’kai[edit]

Before the year 2321, Andreja was given a mission by House Va'ruun, which required her to leave her home planet. She was assigned a handler named Tomisar Ka’dic, who would help her communicate with House Va'ruun, as the house valued secrecy and only a few knew how to reach Va'ruun'kai. Upon her initial departure from Va'ruun'kai, Andreja arrived in the Shoza System, landing on Shoza II. She was struck by the realization that she was not allowed to know the way back home, which heightened her awareness of the vast universe beyond her previous experiences. Consequently, she hid her Groat dagger in a nearby pile of rocks, understanding that her ongoing connection to the Great Serpent could be a liability in the Settled Systems.

Smuggling for House Va'ruun[edit]

Andreja, committed to supporting her family, was initially assigned the task of smuggling essential supplies for House Va'ruun, whose remote location in a distant sector of space made resource acquisition from the Settled Systems particularly challenging. Tomisar Ka’dic instructed Andreja to engage smugglers and organize transport operations along the peripheries of the Settled Systems. Over the years, through close collaboration, Andreja forged relationships with these individuals, and although they were not of the Promised, she regarded them as friends. Raised with the belief that those who do not adhere to the teachings of the Great Serpent are inconsequential, as their destinies were deemed predetermined and bleak, she was taken aback to realize that they were individuals with aspirations and fears. This revelation left her feeling as though she had betrayed her own people, yet her concern for her friends prevailed. Among these smugglers were Eren Bascolm and Jaeda Huang, who, over time, became familiar with the locations, names, and other pertinent details regarding House Va'ruun.

In 2321, they convened on a remote planet to transfer cargo when, unexpectedly, Zealots descended in overwhelming numbers. With little time to respond, many were swiftly cut down. Acting on her training, Andreja moved decisively while others hesitated, retreating to her ship but leaving her friend behind. immediatly thereafter, Andreja was reassigned to a mission light years away.

Infiltrating Constellation[edit]

In the year 2328, Andreja intercepted requests from the Constellation to access the moon Ka'zaal, situated within the territory of House Va'ruun, under the guise of "Exploration." She relayed these requests to the High Council, which determined that further investigation into the Constellation was necessary to comprehend their intentions and evaluate any potential threats. Consequently, Andreja was tasked with infiltrating the Constellation, adopting the persona of a former smuggler seeking a new direction in life. She approached Vladimir, who permitted her entry into the organization. While Andreja concealed her true motives from Vladimir, she refrained from outright deception, which sufficed for a time.

Several weeks after her arrival, she endeavored to access secure records within the Constellation’s archives, only to be confronted by Vladimir and Sarah, who had been anticipating her actions. Alarmed at the prospect of her failures being reported to the High Council, which would result in severe consequences, she was taken aback when Sarah did not expel her. Instead, she was allowed to remain, provided that any information sent to the High Council was first presented to Sarah. Sarah made no effort to obstruct Andreja, and both Vladimir and Sarah assured her that her affiliation with House Va'ruun would remain confidential from the rest of the Constellation. From that moment onward, Andreja exclusively transmitted to House Va'ruun the history of the Constellation, details regarding expedition locations, data on unexplored star systems, information about members and their objectives, and other relatively minor matters deemed "classified."

Searching for the artifacts[edit]

In the year 2330, Andreja is dispatched on a mission to retrieve an Artifact for Constellation from a mine located on the planet Sumati within the Narion System. During her endeavor, she is ambushed by a Va'ruun Zealot. After successfully neutralizing the Zealot, she notices another individual approaching. Pointing her weapon at the newcomer, she commands them to halt and identify themselves. The stranger introduces themselves as the Spacefarer, stating that they have been sent by Constellation. This revelation brings relief to Andreja, as she is pleased to learn that the individual does not pose a new threat. However, she also feels a sense of frustration at the realization that someone was dispatched to locate her, a scenario she had anticipated.

Andreja inquires whether it is common for Spacefarers to be assigned to check on other, more experienced members, further expressing her irritation. She then reflects that her frustration should not be directed at the Spacefarer, acknowledging that it is a positive sign of Constellation's trust in them.

After retrieving the artifact, the Spacefarer suddenly loses consciousness. Once they regain awareness, Andreja questions whether this indicates that Barrett's theories and experiences were accurate, specifically regarding the notion that the artifact bestows a vision upon the first individual who touches it. Subsequently, Andreja expresses her desire to discuss a matter of significance concerning what the Spacefarer witnessed upon entering the mine, particularly regarding her actions towards the man she had killed when the Spacefarer entered the mine.
