Summary[edit]
This template creates an infobox for use on all faction pages.
Parameters[edit]

| DISPLAY SETTINGS | ||
| titlename | optional | NPC's name as displayed at the top of the infobox. Generally not needed; will default to use PAGENAME. Only needed when pagename contains extra information (i.e., disambiguation). |
| notrail | optional | If set to "yes", the breadcrumb trail normally created by the template is suppressed (for cases where multiple templates are used on one page or when used for a generic NPC. |
| width | optional | Width to use for the table. Default value is 33%. This parameter only needs to be set in cases when the default value needs to be altered, for example when putting the infobox inside a table for better layout. |
| GENERAL INFO | ||
| mod | see note | Name of mod/DLC/addon that adds NPC (if not in baseline version of game). |
| image | required | The name of an image file for this NPC, just the file name. If this parameter is missing, a NeedsImage banner will automatically be added to the quest article. In cases where an image is truly never needed, set image to "none". |
| imgdesc | see note | Description of image (only needed if image is provided). |
| icon | optional | The icon for this faction, used in lists. Should be white with a transparent background. |
| sumimg | optional | An image to show at the top of the navbox. Typically, this is the faction's "Combo Mark" |
| lorepage | optional | Will default to linking to a lore page of the same name if one exists. Can be specified to link elsewhere, or can be left blank to remove the link. |
| nosave | optional | If specified, the NPC information will not be saved. This is most useful on pages with multiple summaries where the information conflicts but one NPC Summary is considered the primary one to use. |

| type | required | The type of faction, such as Religious or Starship Builders. |
| major | optional | If set, indicates this is a major faction. Used in lists and breadcrumb. |
| motto | optional | The faction's motto. |
| joinable | optional | Whether this faction is joinable. |
| divisions | optional | A bullet point list of other factions which are divisions/branches of this one. |
| divisionof | optional | The name of the faction (not link) that this faction is a division/branch of. |
| capital | optional | The capital/headquarters of this faction. |
| systems | optional | A bullet point list of systems that this faction controls. |
| locations | optional | Important locations that this faction controls or is present at. |
| members | optional | Notable members of this faction. |

| description | optional | A short, one line description of the faction. |
| aka | optional | Another name the faction is known as. Particularly useful if the faction is known as an acronym. |
| defunct | optional | If present the faction will be marked as defunct and talked about in past tense. |

| addbelow | optional | Text to after before the description in the same line. |
| is/are | optional | If present the faction will be referred to as a plural. |
| the | optional | If present the faction name will be prefixed with The. |

Nova Galactic (also known as UC) are the first major manufacturer of modules for starships. Nova Galactic is known to have participated in the development of Grav Drives with NASA at the Nova Galactic Research Station on Luna. While it is now defunct, Nova Galactic modules are still in common use on modern ships and can be purchased from various ship technicians.
