He doesn't work on the fields any more ever since his heart starting getting worse, but his daughter, Mikaela, is saving up to get him some treatment at The Clinic.[2] His wife passed on years ago and believes he might be joining her soon.[3]

Waylon Waggoner: "Mikaela runs the place. I haven't been much use around the farm since my heart started getting bad. "
After talking with Waylon, a new dialogue option comes up with Mikaela:
Your father told me he's sick?
Mikaela Waggoner: "*Sighs* Yeah, that's right. He has a weak heart, and it's been getting worse the last couple years. He can't even help work the fields anymore."
"It's tough watching your folks get old...I can't imagine running this farm without him."
"I've been saving up to get him treatment at the Clinic, but I don't think I'll be able to swing it for awhile." - ↑ What happened to Mikaela's mother?
Waylon Waggoner: "She passed on years ago. If my damn ticker has anything to say about it I'll be joining her in the next life soon enough."
