UC Captain's Log: Balewa
[Most of the passages are relatively uneventful. But the final entry has an urgent, even panicked tone.]
I barely have time to dictate this. They need me back on the bridge. We were attacked by three cruisers, all bearing Freestar Collective markings. It was a coordinated offensive. They came out of the debris field -- three ships, three different directions, three different weapon types -- and then took off.
We're nearly crippled. Munroe can't even get the grav drive spun up. I can't believe my stupidity. Classic insurgency tactic, and I walked right into it. Jumonville Glen, Ong Thanh, Khaldiyah, and now this. Great. In the textbooks for all the wrong reasons.
