A Charred Ecosystem is a field of hot springs and geysers found on planets with the Charred Ecosystem trait.
In order to discover the associated planet trait, you'll need to scan 1-3 Sinter Terraces. The ledges have the following description when you look at them with your scanner: "Hot springs and geysers built the pools, ledges, and terraces with heated liquids depositing layers of minerals percolated through a fossilized ecosystem."
A rock pile nearby contains a randomized amount of inorganic resources.
