Adhesive is a material frequently required in research tasks and in crafting advanced mods. The higher level the task, often the greater quantity of adhesive needed.

Adhesive is most commonly available for purchase from general goods sellers.
Naturally occurring adhesive is not harvestable from many places, but several sources are currently known:
- During encounters in Suvorov in the early part of the Crimson Fleet questline.
- From the herds of Flocking Cephalopod Scavengers on planet Kumasi I in the Kumasi System.
- From Sweetwater Cactus on planet Gagarin in the Alpha Centauri System.
- From Swarming Scorpion on planet Marduk IV in the Marduk System.
