Commander's Computer
Smugglers Lieutenant Messina finally submitted her report on the subject of cargo transports, and the evidence was circumstantial at best.

Most of it seemed to imply that a handful of soldiers have been making a number of unauthorized requests, ranging from snacks to firearms. This, of course, is unacceptable and a full investigation will be required.

However, our focus right now has to be the project deadlines and shoring up station security and safety protocols. We stop the source, and the soldiers will fall in line.

UC Vigilance Shield Upgrade I've spoken to Commander Ikande about the potential shield upgrade for the UC Vigilance.

After talking with the engineers, we have a number of projects in the works that have moved past the beta stage and will be ready for deployment by the time the ship docks. Project Svalinn is the obvious choice here but there are other candidates to consider.

Dr. Gabriel Vogel Dr. Vogel is brilliant, there's no denying that. The problem is he communicates the same way he engineers, in a manner that is inscrutable to anyone but him.

Commander Woods seems to have taken advantage of this when allocating funding to various projects. And because Dr. Vogel kept such poor documentation, it's impossible to find an adequate paper trail.

He made a mistake though by pouring so much money into safety and security. No one would've batted an eye if he focused on R&D. The costly projects would've been blamed on Dr. Vogel chasing another dead end. But the fact that pilots are dead, items are being smuggled off the station, and now we have leaks? It doesn't add up.

Add to that all the trouble with Project XNN, and I'm starting to sense a pattern. Bloated funding combined with bad Op security and extreme cost cutting. But if that's the case, then where did the money go?

Commander Woods I'm conflicted on whether I should turn in the evidence regarding Commander Woods' activities on this station. On the one hand, my duties as a soldier are clear. But on a personal level, I would not be where I am without his guidance, advice and support. He has been nothing short of a father figure to me. I owe him my life.

Which is why this is an impossible situation. Part of me hoped he would just make the decision easy for me and retire. But now that his sabbatical is almost over, I'm hearing rumblings that he may be reinstated here. The higher ups at MAST will want a recommendation from me, and given my track record, if I deny any wrongdoing on his part, it will be taken as gospel. That's probably what he's counting on, that I'd never betray his trust -- and I wouldn't. But I also would never betray my oath to serve the UC. So what do I do?
