Starfield:Biomes
Biomes are areas classified according to the species that live in that location. Temperature range, soil type, and the amount of light and water are unique to a particular place and form the niches for specific species allowing scientists to define the biome.
There are five major types of biomes: aquatic, grassland, forest, desert, and tundra, though some of these biomes can be further divided into more specific categories, savanna, tropical rainforest, etc.
The Planets of Starfield give us a total of 22 specified Biomes, each with unique or shared properties.
Those 22 Biomes further break down into 430 iterations, based on the Flora and Fauna found on each planet, with some being specific to that Planet alone, though the Biome is presumed to be the same. It is not as simple as running from Biome to Biome, but jumping through space, Systems and Galaxies apart.
