A Mech is a human-piloted military vehicle propelled by legs rather than wheels or treads. Mechs were in use as early as the Serpent's Crusade and were used extensively by both the United Colonies and Freestar Collective [Starfield] during the Colony War, but were associated more with the latter. After the war, mechs were banned under the terms of the Armistice.[1]They were banned due to their destructive power.[2]
