Misaki Qureshi, full body

Misaki Qureshi is an employee of United Transport, aspiring writer, and veteran mech pilot. She helps run their operations out of their warehouse in Gagarin Landing.

She wears Space Rogue Muscle Gear and a Space Trucker Hat. For protection she has a Combat Knife and a Solstice with 1.5kV LZR Cartridge ammo for it. Lastly, Misaki keeps Credits on her.

When you speak to her for the first time she will have a unique greeting about the book she is working on:

""Chronicles of the Mech Riders." It's a good title. You'd read it, right?"

Response if you do not answer the first time:

"So? "Chronicles of the Mech Riders"? What do you think? Would you read it?"
Oh yeah. That's a great title.
"Oh, and that's just the beginning."
I'd do some more brainstorming on that one.
"Let me sell it to you."
Hey, so long as there's a half-way decent romance, I'm in.
"Ah, but the whole story is about romance - the marriage of man and machine."
I'm sorry. I think I missed something.
"Ah, then let me explain. Action, adventure, heartbreak. Humanity at its absolute most raw. Ever since I left the military, I've been thinking about writing "Chronicles." Interviewing other mech pilots about what it was like to experience the war strapped-in..."

All lines will then lead to:

"My book would have it all - action, horror, humor, and it'd all be based on interviews I'd conduct with other mech pilots. Folks who experienced the Colony War just like I did - from the cockpit of a war machine."
You were a mech pilot?
"Deployed from 2309 till the fleet got themselves blown to bits two years later and the UC waved the white flag. I was at the Battle of Mars when the Freestars dropped in to try and blow our industrial output to smithereens. If you've ever visited Cydonia and noticed it's still in one piece... that's my unit's work."
Sounds like you want to glorify slaughter.
"My goal would be truth. And there was glory during the war, as well as slaughter. "Chronicles" would be an uncompromising view of all the facets of being a mech pilot. If only I could get off my tail and actually work on it."
Yeah, not for me.
"Hmm. To each their own. But now was there something you actually needed?"
Oh I'd definitely read that.
"Well, in the bold future where the book's done and I don't have to track packages for a living any more, I'll happily sign your copy. Now, what can I do for you?"

You have a few different topics of conversation with her in conversation:

You said mechs were banned? Why?
"The Armistice that ended the Colony War put plenty of new laws into place, but the two big ones were no more Xenoweapons... and no more mechs. You'll get in trouble for even having mech components on your ship on most settled worlds. Which is how I went from driving a 1500-horsepower battle frame to working in a shipping warehouse. Of course, I don't exactly mind living in the same town where my mech was built, either. And what it's been like for us ex-pilots since mechs were banned."
So why aren't you out there, writing your book?
"Sailing across the Settled Systems, hunting down all these other pilots, it's not going to be cheap. That's why I'm living in scenic Gagarin and not, say, downtown New Atlantis. Every spare credit goes right into the book fund. But once I've got enough, I'm gone."
What's it like, piloting a mech?
"When folks lose a limb, some get ghost sensations. Feel like the limb's still there. Well, imagine that across your whole body. When you're strapped-in long enough, you and your machine, you grow to understand each other. What the machine can take and keep going... and what the human can. We'd even sleep in our Mechs so we could deploy faster... and since they were a hell of a lot more comfortable than the cots the UC issued. You spent your life cradled in the arms of a war machine. That's what it's like to pilot a mech. And that's what I want to write about."

Her greetings include:

"If you're here to collect your copy of my book, you're just a little early."
"Hello again. Something I can do for you?"
"A few more years of toil, and I'll have all the credits I need."
"Gagarin's not so bad. All the fun of walking around on the surface of your local star, no travel required."
"What can I do for you?"

If you stop speaking mid-conversation, she will say:

"I know, I know. You're awed by the shipping clerk. It's a common occurrence."
"So?"
"Well now this is thrilling for me. Really."
"If this is a stare down, I think you need to work on your technique."

Misaki ends conversations by saying:

"Later."
"So long."
"Roger that."

Customer asks for help
Excuse me. I'm expecting a package. It was supposed to arrive last week.
Uh, I got a notice I had to come pick something up.
Hi. You work here? I'm supposed to pick something up.
I'm here to collect a-- hey. You're that mech pilot, aren't you?
Misaki responds
A week ago? It wasn't coming from Akila, was it?
Ah, yes. You're the one who ordered the Aurora? Through the mail?
Ninety-five pounds of frozen pizzas. Is that you?
I am that mech pilot, yes. Now you were picking up... what exactly?
The customer continues
Yes! That's it! Do you have it?
Aurora? What? No. I didn't order any Aurora. What're you talking about?
What? I didn't want to run out?
Is it true you guys, you know, went to the bathroom in those things? That must've been really uncomfortable.
Misaki continues
Unfortunately, your package is now the personal property of House Va'ruun... ... Zealots hit the transport en route. I believe you have got two options: sign up with the Vanguard and show those Zealots they messed with the wrong person... ... or file a reimbursement claim with our main office. Up to you.
We handed over the evidence to UC Security. If this is some kind of genuine mistake, I'd suggest you contact them before them come looking for you.
Let's hope your freezer is up to the task. Weight was too much for home delivery. Speak to one of the robots. They'll get you sorted.
Just preparing us for a world rife with uncomfortable situations. But, no, we didn't use our multi-million credit mechs as latrines.
No new packages today. Check back tomorrow.
Customer final comment
Fine. Thanks, I guess.
Oh, weird. Okay. I'll try tomorrow. Thanks.
Are you kidding me? What am I supposed to do now?
I, yeah. I'll do that. Thank you.
Ah, I see. Let me go find a cart. I'll be back.
Ah, gotcha... so about that package...
Misaki ends the conversation
Happy to help.
